他人のコードを読む: Hiki の parser.rb

いろいろな自作ツールで使える汎用のWikiのParserが欲しいなと思い、Hikiのstyle/default/parser.rb の中身を読みました。バージョンは Hiki 0.8.2 です。

いくつか自分の好みと違う点やバグっぽいところも含めて気がついたことがあるので書き連ねてみます。

HikiStack

引数にHiki::Configクラスのインスタンスを受け取ることを想定していますが、結局利用しているのはその中のuse_plugin の値だけです。ならば、 

  def initialize(use_plugin)
    @use_plugin = use_plugin # true of false
    以下略
としたほうが、独立性が高くなると思います。このファイルだけ取り出して Hiki の外で使うということがやりやすくなるはず。

inline_implの引数a

ここの引数aの使い方はかなり変な気がします。
aは配列で、open, closeタイプの要素(strongやemphasisなど)の対応を管理するためのスタック的使い方をしています。しかし、要素がスタック中にあるかないかを検査しているだけなので、正しく入れ子になっていることがわかりません。後で normalize_lineというメソッドでopenとcloseの数が一致しているかはチェックしていますが、Hikiでは次のような記述が通ってしまって、間違ったHTMLが生成されます。

↑こうかくと、↓このHTMLが生成される 
<strong>hoge<del>fuga</strong></del>

あとaという名前が短すぎ。極めて狭いスコープ(2，3行とか)で使うならともかく、比較的長いメソッド全体で有効なスコープで使っているのだから、もうちょっと長い名前にしないと検索や置換がしにくいです。

inline_implのREF_RE, URL_RE

Hikiのdefault記法では、URLっぽい文字列は自動的にリンクに置き換えられます。また、[[ ]] で囲んで明示的にリンクにすることも出来ます。しかし、文字のエスケープ処理がなぜか両者で異なっています。
例えば以下のように書いたとすると、 

http://host/?a=1&b=1

[[link|http://host/?a=1&b=1]]
HTMLは以下のようになります。 
<p><a href="http://host/?a=1&b=1" class="external">http://host/?a=1&amp;b=1</a></p>
<p><a href="http://host/?a=1&amp;b=1" class="external">link</a></p>
本来、href= の部分は両者で同じになるはずだと思いますが違っています。
というか、後者の記法では、'&'を含んだURLにただしくリンクできないのでは？と思ったら、後者のhrefでもリンクとして機能はするみたいですね。
